Rosemary is a bushy plant native to the Mediterranean. Its name comes from the Latin words “ros” (dew) and “marinus” (sea), translating to “sea dew.” It is one of the oldest medicinal plants, valued since ancient times.
Rosemary essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering aerial parts of the plant. Approximately 50 kg of plant material is needed to produce 1 kg of essential oil. Dea Flores rosemary essential oil is of the 1.8 cineol chemotype. It stimulates mental activity and concentration.
