It is fascinating that it takes 60 000 bees, which travel over 80 000 km together and visit 2 million flowers, to produce only half a kilo of honey. Healing properties of honey were documented in the early medical literature. Honey was used by the Egyptians. There are documents which prove its antibacterial and anti-microbial activity dating from ancient times. It is excellent in cases of low immune system. It is a natural energy booster and it helps fighting colds and virus infection.
Black seed oil
Black seed oil (Nigella sativa) is obtained by cold pressing of Egyptian black seed. With black seed oil, polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as linoleic and gama linolenic acids, are introduced into the organism. They enable synthesis of important immunoregulatory substances, such as prostaglandine. By regular use of black seed oil, poor immune responses which can cause numerous chronic diseases, from acne and hay fever to cancer*, are terminated.

Propolis is a resinous substance collected by honey bees from tree buds and barks of trees and other plant-related sources. Only a small number of bees responsible for this important task collects propolis. They take it inside the bee hive and use it to build the entrance (Latin: “pro” meaning “in front of”, and “polis” meaning “the city”), to seal the cracks in the bee hive, to sterilize the comb. Propolis contains more than 200 components (herbal resin, balsams, wax, pollen, organic acids, terpenes, flavonoids). The most important, in a pharmacologic sense, are flavonoids which have many therapeutic properties - antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic. It is used to prevent respiratory infections, at the first signs of a common cold and to boost energy in your body.
Pollen is made of male cells of a plant which are of crucial importance for plant reproduction. Bees create it by flying from flower to flower and collecting pollen. In combination with honey and nectar, they create small, rice sized grains. Except for bees, pollen is an important biological material for human health since it contains all essential nutrients necessary for normal body functions It contains up to 40% of protein, essential amino acids, vitamins (including vitamin B-complex and folic acid), enzymes, polyphenols, lecithin.
Interestingly enough, pollen cannot be synthesized in a laboratory. In spite of numerous attempts and combinations of all the known components, whenever “the artificial” pollen was put in a bee hive – the bees died.
In the traditional Chinese medicine pollen is considered to be an energetic and nutritive tonic. It improves stamina, reduces recovery periods, regulates the digestive process, stimulates appetite and treats malnourishment.
